Michael is 8 years of age and he is in Grade Two. Michael is a very meek and mild boy. He is the last born of seven children and he lives with his six sisters in a two roomed house.
His mother is a widow, since his father died in 2007. Michael was very young at the time, so he never had much of a relationship with him. Michael’s mother is a business woman, though sometimes her ventures aren’t successful and it becomes extremely difficult to provide for her children. She spends most of her time away from her children because of her career. Michael lives off his eldest sister most of the time, however she is currently unemployed.
Food to Michael’s family is a scarce necessity. If they have access to food, they would have it in the evening. Often it is the charity of the good neighbors and well wishers that gives their stomachs enough to keep going until they next eat.
Michael attends school at High Ridge Baptist Academy. His favorite subject is Mathematics and he loves reading.
He says that in future he wants to become a doctor in the belief that he can genuinely help others. Michael prays that one day; life will improve, and that he can grow closer to God, in whom he has faith.
