Shadrack is ten years of age and he is in Grade Two. He lives in Korogocho slum in a one-room mud house.

Shadrack’s mother is a housewife and his father is a welder. Shadrack’s father earns a meager dollar a day in his welding job, and his mother also earns very little. This lack of income limits their access to food, clothes, house rent and school fees for Shadrack.

Shadrack loves studying with his friends at High Ridge Baptist Academy. His favorite subject is Science and his hobby is playing hide and seek. He dreams of becoming a pilot one day.

Life has always been tough for Shadrack’s family and they are fighting for survival. This is why he prays for someone to sponsor his education, so he can help his parents.
